How to Prepare it?
The 10 x MOPSBuffer commonly used in electrophoresis buffer is prepared as follows:
(1) Using 41.8g MOPS and dissolving it into approximately 700mLDEPC treated water;
(2) Adjusting its pH to 7.0 using 2N NaOH;
(3) Add 20 mL of DEPC-treated 1MNaOAC and 20 mL of 0.5MEDTA (pH 8.0) to the solvent;
(4) Set the volume to 1L, filter through the impurities using a 0.45μm membrane and store the final extracted solvent at room temperature and away from light.
