ADPS powder

I. Introduction to ADPS
ADPS is also known as N-ethyl-N-(3-sulfopropyl)-3-methoxyaniline sodium salt dihydrate, which is a commonly used chromogenic substrate for horseradish peroxidase HRP or peroxidase POD. Its appearance is pure white crystalline powder with a purity of over 99% and a pH range of 5.5-9.5, with an absorption wavelength of up to 540nm, giving it the obvious advantage of high water solubility and high sensitivity for colour development.

II.The principle of ADPS colour development
The principle of action is mainly due to the catalytic action of hydroge n peroxide in POD, ADPS and 4AA coupled oxidation to generate quinonimine substances, so it will lead to an increase in absorbance at 500nm. As in the case of blood glucose testing, when blood glucose, oxygen, and water are catalyzed by POD to produce gluconic acid and hydroge n peroxide, the resulting hydroge n peroxide can be measured using the coupled oxidation system of ADPS. The increase in absorbance at this point is proportional to the blood glucose, and the increase in absorbance can be measured by the spectrophotometric broadening method.

III. ADPS application
Due to the high sensitivity, safety and stability of ADPS, it will be used in biochemical kits and is often used to test indicators such as creatinine, glucose, uric acid or cholesterol, further improving the accuracy of the test results.
