The Chinese name of HEPPSO buffer is 3- (hydroxyethyl piperazine) -2-hydroxypropanesulfonic acid, which belongs to the piperazine family and is a type of Good's buffer. It has the unique advantages of Good's buffer. The buffer range of HEPPSO is between 7.1 and 8.5, and it can be used as a bisexual separator. HEPPSO forms free radicals, so it is not recommended for redox reactions. However, in biological experiments, there is no toxicity to crustaceans, so it is very suitable for toxicological research.
